Zimlets
Zimlets are add-ons for the Zimbra web client. The MSH Zimbra Rules zimlets bring parts of MSH Zimbra Rules to the users themselves, in the Classic and in the Modern web client, without giving them access to the administrator panel.
Every zimlet comes in two variants, one for the Classic and one for the Modern web client. Both work the same way and are installed together.
Available zimlets
- Change User Info - users see their own details, such as their name, job title and phone numbers, and change the ones you allow. The values they set are used in their signatures, disclaimers and autoresponders.
How they work
The zimlets talk to MSH Zimbra Rules through the MSH Zimbra Rules extension, which runs inside Zimbra on every mailbox server. The extension checks the user's Zimbra login, so users reach only their own data and never need an administrator panel account.
What the zimlets offer is set by administrators in the administrator panel, see User attributes. The Zimbra admin console is not involved.
Install
The extension and the zimlets ship in the MSH Zimbra Rules package. Install them after MSH Zimbra Rules itself:
- Zimlet configuration - on a single server
- Zimlets configuration - in a multi-server installation
