Multi server

A Zimbra installation with two or more MTA servers runs MSH Zimbra Rules on several hosts. The web admin runs on a server of its own, and every MTA server runs the node and the milter. See Deployment layouts for how they connect.

Install in this order:

  1. Web admin server - install Java, unpack the package, start only the web admin service and log in.
  2. Milters configuration - on every MTA server, install Java, unpack the package, start only the node and milter services, and add the server on the Servers page of the web admin.
  3. Milter configuration - on every MTA server, register the milter in its Zimbra MTA.
  4. Zimlets configuration - install the Zimbra extension on every Zimbra mailbox server and the Change User Info zimlets once, so users can change their own attributes used in signatures.
